Silent retreat offers a time to rest and restore. The structure of this retreat is simple; it consists of sitting meditation, walking meditation and mindful movement. As we move into the holidays, allow these practice to keep you grounded in the present moment, calm in mind and body.
This retreat is open to beginners as well as those with an established meditation practice. Rebecca and Emily will guide you in your practice. Meditation will be accompanied by talks and opportunities to share questions and reflections as a group.
Bring loose, comfortable clothing. Chairs will be provided; please bring your meditation cushion if you have one.

$399 weekend fee includes single lodging with private bath and all meals beginning with dinner on Friday evening and ending with breakfast on Sunday morning.

Rebecca Washburn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a passionate student and teacher of personal growth and spirituality. She is also a certified yoga teacher who finds growth, exploration and healing in the practice. Rebecca approaches her counseling work through a holistic lens of integrating the mind, body, emotion and spirit. She studies and teaches about the principles of energy, mindfulness, meditation, creative visualization, and the anatomy of the soul through the chakra system. Rebecca specializes in Jungian dreamwork and helps clients find meaning and symbolism in their dreams as a guidance system towards health and wholeness. She teaches weekly yoga classes at Soul Shine Yoga and is a founding member of Blue Sky Collective.
Emily Sommerville has been practicing yoga since 1998 and became a certified yoga teacher in 2012. She is the founder of Soul Shine Yoga and Blue Sky Collective where she teaches weekly yoga classes and directs the Soul Shine Yoga School 200 hour training program. Emily is currently studying Urban Zen Integrative Therapy, a unique program that integrates mindfulness, restorative yoga postures, Reiki, aromatherapy and contemplative care.
